About the event

First up, a fun presentation by the Port Fairy Theatre Group of the following:

Port Fairy Theatre Group presents Naked Ambition – live!

The ‘Naked Man’ himself – a fully-clothed Robert Gott will introduce the staged reading of an excerpt from his novel, Naked Ambition, which was first conceived as a stage play. In Naked Ambitition: live! the stage is set for a side-splitting journey through mishaps, misunderstandings, and laugh-out-loud situations. Follow the misadventures of quirky characters as they navigate the rollercoaster of ambition, ego, with a wealth of witty repartee, interpreted with great humour by our local & wonderful theatrical troupe.

Followed by a fascinating discussion between Hilary Harper & Kate Mildenhall:

Navigating the Nexus with Hilary Harper: Progress and Artificial Intelligence in The Hummingbird Effectby Kate Mildenhall

Experience the joy of literature as gifted storyteller, Kate Mildenhall, shares her journey of crafting her third novel, The Hummingbird Effect, an exploration of what progress means to generations of the distant past, recent past, and future. Well-known for her popular broadcast on ABC’s Life Matters, radio personality Hilary Harper will delve into the heart of this wonderful novel and lead a discussion with Kate about where we are situated right now as AI technologies are seeping into our day-to-day reality.
